Project Description

This education complex benefits from a centralized rainwater system and both buildings share a common cistern. Rainwater from the middle and high school roofs flow to a 360,000 gallon cast in place concrete tank and will conserve approx. 4-5 million gallons annually. The rain is used to flush toilets in both schools and the bottom half of the cistern is reserved for the fire protection system. This project not only creates a resource from runoff, it also enriches educational opportunities for all.

Working with the lead plumbing contractor, BRAE was able to take the guess work out of a puzzle of pumps and pieces, bringing together the system's pumps, controls and water treatment functions under one automated system.
