A regional U.S. recycler required a more efficient processing solution for separation of construction and demolition waste. Their existing system could not meet the throughput or reliability demands of the incoming C&D waste stream.


The customer was proposed a solution integrating GK’s proven FINGER-SCREEN™ vibratory separator and DE-STONER® Air Classifier into their existing system, as well as other system enhancements to increase their material throughput.


GK’s Engineered Solutions Group worked with other suppliers to create a highly efficient system which separates heavy and light aggregate at over 750 cubic yards per hour with reduced manpower.


GK’s Engineered Products Group developed new efficiencies based on GK’s proven DE-STONER and FINGER-SCREEN technologies and delivered the re-engineered machinery within months of project acceptance. The addition of General Kinematics FINGER-SCREEN and DE-STONER doubled the customers system capacity while significantly increasing separation efficiency.
