Case Study - Sewer Sensors

Sewer Sensors

Sewer sensors are offered by Solid Applied Technologies for remote level monitoring. The sesnors are ultrasonic, non-contact with no moving parts.

The system is equipped with an external battery pack and can operate at a low-power-mode for long term life.

The sensors are equipped with embedded GSM cellular modem and act as M2M terminals, transmitting data fron the sewer to a control center.

With this solution, trends within the city sewers can easily be identified including overusage of pipe lines, blockage down the line, flood events (with immediate notifications) and more. The article demonstrates analysis on data from several city sewers.

This solution can also be used for charging large sewer users such as industrial plants.
