CDP is an international, not-for-profit organization providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information. CDP works with market forces to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment and natural resources and take action to reduce them.

The challenge

To support our clients with their submissions to the 2014 CDP Climate Change Program with a goal of increasing CDP score year on year.

What did IMS do?

IMS Consulting’s continues to support client CDP submissions with a process that has been fine-tuned over the course of several years. It is both detailed and robust, and the positive outcomes are evident through the consistently high CDP scores obtained by its clients. The process starts with a review of the previous year’s CDP submission, where available, to provide a detailed analysis of current status and where points have been lost and why. Based on this, IMS work with the company to identify areas of improvement, benchmarking against peer companies where appropriate, and develop a draft response with the client. Subsequent reviews will identify where further improvements are possible, and provide the client with an indication of what score will be obtained.

What was the outcome?

IMS are the trusted CDP service providers for our clients, our streamlined process helps save time and our relationship with our clients and our increasing knowledge of their business helps us to improve client ranking year on year. Results are published in October for the UK market and November in France.
