China and India, feeding the fibre frenzy

China and India have developed a voracious appetite for recovered fibre to feed rapidly increasing domestic demand for paper and board. But can this hunger be satisfied? The following article addresses this question and also emphasises how the quality of supplies will have a growing influence on sales into these markets. The feature is based on a presentation to BVSE in Germany by Ranjit Baxi, Vice-President of the BIR world recycling organisation’s Paper Division.
