The courses—identical to those offered by CSA Education & Training in North America with the addition of regionally specific content that relates to European Union economy and industry—will be delivered by CMSE climate change and environmental experts that have met CSA Education and Training’s stringent standards for required qualifications for knowledge of the ISO 14064 standard and climate change management experience.
“CMSE identified a need in the Irish and UK markets for training on the ISO Greenhouse Gas Management Standard,” says Michael Coughlan, Product Manager, Climate Change, Canadian Standards Association. “CMSE has an extensive environmental training program, including training on other ISO standards. They contacted the ISO World Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, who in turn referred them to the Canadian Standards Association as the secretariat for the ISO 14064 standard. ISO specifically made reference to CSA’s GHG Management Training Programs.”
This strategic alliance with CMSE to deliver CSA training in GHG Management can be used as a model to expand further into EU markets. CMSE benefits from meeting the market need for ISO 14064 training in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The CSA will benefit through awareness building of the CSA Brand and the CSA Climate Change initiatives in global market.
