The area surrounding a proposed retail mall in the City of Hull, Quebec, Canada was occupied by upscale homes. A watercourse divided the area into two distinct sections.
In order to complete the mall project, the developer, Deschenes Construction, required solutions to the following:
- Stream re-alignment paralleling property limits, thus creating space for the new buildings.
- Relocation of the stream to meet rigid environmental and aesthetic requirements.
- Construction of a road, following the property limits, providing mall access via three streams crossings.
