Controlling Algae in a Wastewater Lagoon

In wastewater lagoons, single cellular algae can cause significant problems by effecting DO, pH, and TSS levels.  While algal growth does provide some benefit in reducing nutrient levels within the lagoons, it is imperative that the algae be controlled so as to minimize the negative impacts on the water quality in the lagoon effluent.  This article explores the impact that Bio-Domes have had on  single cellular algae at multiple installations around the United States.
