Organisational Change Management is the management of realigning an organisation to meet the changing demands of its business environment, including improving service delivery and capitalising on business opportunities, underpinned by business process improvement and technologies.

It includes the management of changes to the organisational culture, business processes, physical environment, job role definitions and responsibilities, staff skills/knowledge and business policies and procedures.

New system implementation projects usually result in the need for organisation change and can be used as a vehicle or catalyst for implementing organisational change. System Projects are all about transformation and are intended to create change of one kind or another, no matter how small or large.

Defining the technical solution is always the easiest part of the journey. The hard part is helping those affected by the change to abandon the current ineffective processes and adopt the newly engineered solution.
