Reservoir Overview: Small 3.5 acres drinking water reservoir with a depth of 20 feet.

Pre-Deployment Conditions: This reservoir experienced water quality issues associated with cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) blooms. Their only recourse was to apply copper sulfate on a regular basis.

Project Objectives: Control harmful cyanobacteria blooms and associated water quality issues via epilimnetic circulation with the secondary objective to reduce aquatic weed over time.

Solution: One (1) SolarBee SB2500 v12 Lake Circulator (Deployed 2005)

Results: Since the SolarBee deployment, the Customer has ceased all applications of copper sulfate in the reservoir. All water quality objectives are met.

Update (2019): 14+ years without copper sulfate! Per the Customer, “the SolarBee is working great” and they have nothing but high praise for “the product, its concept and the support staff that give him such exemplary service.
