ABSTRACT

Wastewater facilities are challenged to meet the nutrient reduction regulations that are being implemented in many states and regions across the country. Nutrient analyses for phosphorus and nitrogen were evaluated in order to identify and implement changes that simplify and reduce errors in these methods.

INTRODUCTION
The primary objectives of this project were to develop an integrated system of nutrient analysis to meet the needs of an ever changing workforce, to further simplify the current methods of analysis, and to reduce labor and total analysis costs in order meet the quality and cost control objectives set by utility management.
