TRS Group, Inc. (TRS) was retained by ENSR/AECOM to perform an Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH) remediation
of tetrachloroethene (PCE) in groundwater under a former dry cleaner at the Brookhill Shopping Center in Richmond,
Virginia. Site assessment activities revealed PCE concentrations would require remediation before an impending property transfer could occur. The standard fixed price remediation contract required reduction of PCE in groundwater to 5 μg/l or 99.96%. TRS was able to successfully remediate the site on the clients compressed time schedule.
