E-Mail to SMS Gateways
All AKCP base units come with e-mail alert capabilities. The securityProbe and sensorProbe+ product lines also have an option for an internal cellular modem. The cellular modem is typically sed for remote sites where wired internet connections aren’t available. Some customers also use the modem for sending SMS alerts. It can be an expensive option, and for those using the sensorProbe products there is no cellular modem available. Or perhaps you have an existing SP+ or SEC product without modem and you would like to receive an SMS alert when your sensors are in a critical condition.
Some cellular network carriers allow the use of an e-mail to SMS gateway service. Typically it follows the format of the phone number you wish to send the message to, followed by the gateway domain. for example firstname.lastname@example.org.
Below is a comprehensive list of carriers around the world and their domain address that can be used for sending an e-mail to SMS. We apologize if some are not up to date, carriers may terminate services or change their domain names. If you have any updates or changes to this list please e-mail email@example.com
