Eco-Tec Achieves Universally Accepted ASME Certification
Eco-Tec Earns American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Designations for Manufacture of Pressure Vessels
Design and manufacturing company, Eco-Tec Inc., has successfully achieved American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certification, which ensures all products, services and quality systems comply with the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPV) Code, Section 8, Div. 1.
Regarded as a worldwide hallmark of acceptance, Eco-Tec achieved ASME designations ‘U’ for ‘Manufacture of pressure vessels’ and ‘UM’ for ‘Manufacture of miniature pressure vessels.’ Eco-Tec products certified with these marks indicate compliance with the laws and regulations in all 50 U.S. states and all provinces of Canada. In addition, it has been estimated that over 100 countries accept the ASME BPV Code as a means of meeting their government safety regulations.
“Completing ASME certification reflects our dedication to quality, safety and teamwork, and speaks to the precision of our operation. This is another great milestone for
Eco-Tec,” says Dr. Phillip (Rocky) Simmons, Eco-Tec CEO and President. “I would like to thank all Eco-Tec staff involved for making this possible, through their dedication and commitment to maintaining and exceeding world class standards.”
More than 5,800 companies in more than 70 countries are currently certified by ASME. The not-for-profit membership organization, founded in 1880, has grown from a small group of industrialists to more than 120,000 members in over 150 countries worldwide. ASME members are a diverse group, made up of students, engineers, project managers, executives, researchers, academic leaders and more.
