Effects of 17β‐estradiol on emissions of greenhouse gases in simulative natural water body

Environmental estrogens (EEs) are widely spread across the world and becoming more and more seriously contaminating. This paper studies the influence of different concentrations of 17β‐estradiol (E2) on the emissions of main greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4 and N2O) in simulative systems in order to explore the relationship between EEs pollution and greenhouse gases emissions in natural water bodies preliminarily. This study finds that E2 pollution in simulative systems has significant promoting effects on the emissions of CH4 and CO2, while having no significant effects on N2O emissions. It indicates that E2 has different effects on the different elements cycles, the mechanism of microbial ecology is under research. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved
