In mid 2003, AdEdge was awarded 3 Arsenic Treatment Demonstration Projects with EPA. Implementation began in September, 2003 following approvals of the engineering submittals and permit by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. Upon completion of construction of the new treatment building by the city of Rollinsford, AdEdge Technologies installed the 100 gpm APU arsenic treatment system. This system is AdEdge’s second installation for a public drinking water system in the State utilizing the granular ferric oxide technology. Historically, arsenic levels reported in the well serving the town ranged from 39-46 parts per billion (ppb), over 60% being Arsenic (III), over 4 times the new standard. As part of the proposal effort, a complete water profile was obtained on the source water to assess the water chemistry and predict performance. The Table lists some of the more important water quality parameters.
