STK Architecture designed a beautiful public library, built to LEED Silver Standard for the town of Crestline, California. The parking lot paving and walkways utilized Fibermesh 650 high strength macropolymeric fibers instead of rebar to save money, improve durability and increase crack resistance. High strength macropolymeric fiber reinforcement for soil supported slabs was adopted into ACI 360 “Design of Slabs on Ground” in 2006. Utilizing state of the art construction technology, STK was able to specify durable crack free concrete paving and sidewalks while reducing construction costs.
