The customer needed to monitor the biogas being produced during the AD process before it is sent to gas engines. The GA3000 is used as a reference for a second system installed with the engines to verify the accuracy of the system and be sure the gas quality is within the required range for the engines.
At this AD plant the waste is sorted, crushed and then digested in an anaerobic digester to produce biogas. The digestate is then processed, separated and screened to produce high-quality compost. The biogas produced is a valuable commodity and can be used along with landfill gas to produce electricity via gas engines.
