General Electric - Macallen engine overhaul facility - Case Study
Courtesy of Diversitech
General Electric's Macallen facility overhauls Aviation engines. Some of the operations require welding, grinding, and deburring of parts. To ensure the workers well being, GE set forth requirements of a custom downdraft table. DiversiTech travelled to McAllen, Texas to meet with the project representatives to better understand their needs and propose the right solution.
DiversiTech designed a downdraft workstation that is fitted with a back draft hood as well as an articulated capture arm. The table has electrical actuators that allow for table height adjustments to better suit workers of varying height.
