Is your facility storing or working with liquids on a daily basis? If so, are any of the liquids that you are working with aggressive by nature? You may just be working with non-aggressive aqueous based liquids or maybe you are working with hydrocarbons such as oil or gasoline? No matter what your industry is, a liquid spill is still a mess any way you look at it. Cleaning up a spill may be a difficult task or it may also be an easy one. The key to making your job easy is being prepared and the first step to being prepared for a spill is having the right absorbent material on hand.

There are many different types of sorbents to choose from but the material that has proved time and time again to be the most efficient and cost effective is meltblown polypropylene. Meltblown polypropylene comes in pads and rolls but it is also converted into many other useful products such as socks, pillows, booms, sweeps, and particulate. Sometimes you will find all of these products packed together making a spill kit. Spill kits are an essential tool for being prepared.

Not being prepared could cost your facility a lot of time and money in both damages and fines, and in some extreme cases, a spill could be deadly if not dealt with in the proper manner. To help avoid all of the above, be prepared! Spill kits are an essential tool to help keeping your facility, safe, clean, and compliant.
