Green Business Awards 2010 opens for entries
The Green Business Awards, a leading barometer of excellence in green practice, strategy and products in the UK, is now open for entries.
The Green Business Awards seek out and scrutinize the most innovative, ambitious and effective initiatives by UK business for achieving environmental sustainability, and implementing smart business practice. They are the 'Green Globes' and are the UK's most comprehensive awards on the subject.
ENDS co-presents the awards, along with Management Today (MT), the leading monthly business magazine, and an ENDS partner in the Haymarket Business Media stable.
The 2010 awards cycle sees a further refining of award categories and entry and judging procedures to make the Green Business Awards even more meaningful for UK commerce and industry.
With the UK government’s flagship CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme coming into operation in April 2010 an important new category this year will be CRC Leader. Addressing vital long-term sustainability as well as immediate compliance issues, there is a new category for Climate Change Readiness.
Once more ENDS’ specialist carbon management research unit ENDS Carbon will be contributing its expertise, in particular in defining potential entrants to three categories aimed at discovering and highlighting the best performance by large companies in cutting carbon emissions and developing credible long-term plans for doing so in future.
