Hands on experience, community participation, observation, field visit, multimedia and demonstration are the predictors of environmental awareness: a hierarchical multiple regression analysis
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship among hands on experience, community participation, observation, field visit, multimedia and demonstration for the prediction of environmental awareness among university students. For this study, 50 Assam University students have voluntarily joined as the sample. After a series of activities, the data were collected by environmental awareness scale (EAS) that was four–point Likert scale and has total of 30 items. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis technique was used to find out the relationship among the variables (e.g., hands on experience, community participation, observation, field visit, multimedia, and demonstration), the predictors of the environmental awareness. These variables were mostly independent and responsible for environment awareness, the dependent variable. The findings established from hierarchical regression, students' hands on experience–enhanced environmental awareness, but not community participation or field visit.
