Harmony Baler Longevity - A Customer Success Story
Harmony Baler Longevity
Harmony Enterprises prides itself on manufacturing quality solutions for waste handling and recycling. One of the value added benefits of purchasing a Harmony baler or compactor is the longevity of the equipment and tangible ROI provided by our machines.
This past month, our parts department received a request for a new motor for an older 42″ vertical baler. In listening to the customer, we quickly learned that their case provided another great example of Harmony’s long lasting solutions. We want to share this amazing story with you as an example of the incredible longevity many business owners experience with their Harmony vertical balers.
Confidence In A Used Baler
Buying or leasing a used baler can be a cost effective way for a business to get the recycling equipment they need without breaking their budget. In 2014, Killduff Transport, located in Sully, IA decided to purchase a used vertical baler at auction. They needed an affordable baler solution to compact and bale plastic sacks from their livestock trailer wash, as well as to bale cardboard from their shop. Since their original investment, they have not had to spend any additional money on the baler.
That is pretty amazing, considering that their baler is a HECO 2242 baler that according to Harmony’s Engineering Department, was manufactured around 1973. That means that this baler has been provided waste and recycling savings for nearly half a century! Now, that’s longevity!
Once Killduff’s employees realized that they needed to replace the electric motor on the baler, they contacted Harmony Enterprises’ Parts Department. Harmony Enterprises guarantees parts for up to 20 years past the date of manufacture. This is much longer than that provided by the majority of our competitors. As a solutions provider, Harmony was able to quickly recommend and implement a new motor that was perfect for their baler. We were even able to provide them a manual for the 48 year old machine.
The employees were thrilled with the ease of ordering quality parts for this older machine. Jon Terlouw at Killduff stated, “The new kit fit and works great!” He continued, saying, “Thanks for your prompt service! I was blown away that you guys had a shop manual for a product so old!”
