WHAT IS HDPE PIPE?
HDPE pipe (some called poly pipe) is a kind of High-density polyethylene made plastic pipe that is widely used for fluid and gas transfer. Due to many benefits of its raw material high-density polyethylene, Polyethylene pipe is often used to replace aging concrete or steel pipelines.
With its innate feature high permeability and strong molecular bond, the HDPE pipe is especially suitable for high-pressure pipelines. High-density polyethylene pipe is applied globally, which includes water supply pipeline, gas mains, sewer mains, slurry transfer lines, rural irrigation, fire system supply lines, electrical and communications conduit, stormwater, and drainage pipes.

Considering the change of pressure, the HDPE pipe can be used in a range of temperature -40 oC to 60 oC.
PE pipe nominal pressure class starts from PN4 to PN 32 (or 4-32bar).
PE pipe also is classified by material – PE100, PE80, PE63, PE40, and PE32
PE 32 – low pressure piping systems (LDPE)
PE 40 – low pressure piping systems (LDPE)
PE 63 – medium pressure piping systems – irrigation system – drinking water connections (HDPE)
PE 80 – gas pipe for natural gas distribution network with pressure rate up to 4 bars – drinking water pipe with pressure rate up to 16 bar – sewers, outfall pipes, industrial pipes (MDPE & HDPE)
PE 100 – high demands piping applications (HDPE)
