Hesse has made it a goal to guarantee a long-term secure and inexpensive energy supply for economy and consumers that meets the demands of environment and climate protection. For that purpose, Hesse wants to raise its proportion of renewable energies in its energy consumption to 15 percent. The new Renewable-Energies-Law (Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz: EEG) as well as the Renewable-Energies-Heat-Law (Erneuerbare-Energien-Wärmegesetz: EEWärmeG) that will be coming into effect on January 1st 2009, also play an important role and contribute to the realization of these goals as well.

In the light of tight budgets and impending climate change scenarios, the demand for energy efficient technologies and regenerative energies is unstoppable. Accordingly the demand for expert know-how and contacts to the expert is growing as well. Technologies for energy efficiency in construction and energy supply have developed rapidly in the last few years, but their full potential has not yet been exploited.

The DENEX® Expert trade fair and conference for decentralized energy systems is the platform in Hesse for planners, manufacturers, service providers and large scale operators such as municipalities, trade, and the housing industry where they can inform themselves on possibilities for saving energy in construction, renovation and energy supply and to establish contacts to experts. The DENEX® will take place for the first time on July 2nd and 3rd, 2009 in Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse.

How can a municipality make integrated efficient heat supply available?

How can larger units such as apartment buildings or hospitals save energy and at the same time be supplied inexpensively and efficiently with electricity and heat? How can regional natural resources be integrated into energy supply? What elements does an efficient energy supply need? DENEX® has the answers to these and many other questions.

The trade fair offers a unique overview of the possibilities for regenerative energy generation. Around 80 exhibitors will inform on decentralized energy systems as well as energy efficient construction and renovation and will present their products and services to approximately 2500 expert visitors. Alongside the trade fair an exhibitor panel will offer its extensive knowledge in cost-free lectures.

Several different expert conferences will be taking place alongside the exhibition, where up to 500 participants will be able to inform themselves further. These following conferences among others, are in planning: energy efficiency for housing industry, care facilities and hospitals, local-heat networks, small-scale co-generation, heat pumps and small scale wind energy facilities.

The trade fair will take place on Thursday July 2nd  and Friday July 3rd, 2009 in the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden and is supported among others by the competence center HessenRohstoffe (HeRo), the Hessian Chamber of Engineering (Ingenieurkammer Hessen), the Hessian Association for Crafts and Trade (Hessische Handwerkstag), the Network of Excellence Dezentrale Energietechnologien e.V. (Decentralized Energy Technologies: deENet), the Hessian Chamber for Architects and City Planners (Architekten und Stadtplanerkammer Hessen) as well as Gebäudeenergieberater in Hessen e.V. (Hessian Association for building energy consultants).
