The design of every Pollution Control furnace starts with the material to be processed. Although our standard oven types and sizes accommodate most cleaning requirements, we are often challenged with designing burn off furnaces that must clean highly unusual materials requiring varying temperatures, cycle times, instrumentation and furnace structural considerations. The furnace in this photograph was constructed of stainless steel because the materials to be cleaned generated a highly acidic environment during operation. It was determined that stainless steel would withstand the corrosive affects of this highly acidic environment much better than standard carbon steel, thereby greatly extending the furnace's operating life and effectiveness.
Pollution Control Products Co. has completed construction of one of the largest industrial cleaning ovens in the world. Destined to service the oilfields of the Middle East, this huge furnace will make its permanent base in the oil-rich country of Oman located on the southwest coast of the Arabian Peninsula at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. Because of its mammoth size, the oven had to be built in two sections in order to facilitate shipping. The total weight of the empty furnace (with cart inside) is 80,000...
Important Considerations Required in Fans for Food and Dairy Processing
Manufacturers of food and dairy products are well aware that there are increased Federal and State guidelines that impact their operations in the interest of greater health and safety. Industrial fans for food and dairy processing are no different.
Industrial fans play a pivotal role in keeping this equipment sanitary and free of contamination by harmful bacteria. The additional guidelines specify:

The name diaphragm is derived from a flexible disc that comes into contact with a seat at the top of the valve to form a seal. Diaphragm valves are some of the most common valves on the market today. This valve is a flexible element that responds to the pressure transmitting force to open and close. This type of valve is in some way related to the pinch valves, but unlike pinch valves, the diaphragm valves use an elastomeric coating in the body to separate the closure element from the flow of flow.
The diaphragm...
Global was subcontracted by Mortenson/Manson, a JV, to perform work on the piles underneath Seattle Fire Station No. 5 along the Elliot Bay Seawall as part of a major seismic retrofit. The scope of work included installing the Denso Sea Shield Series 100 Pile Protection System on 18 steel piles, with the subsequent fabrication and installation of 14 collar bracing assemblies.
Containment was established to fully restrain debris and sediment generated during cleaning operations, before starting any demolition or...
Cleaning without material loss: Hydraulic Easy Cleaning-Construction reduces cleaning of the Single-shaft shredder and facilitates work processes
Many materials have to be comminuted before further processing - this includes different chips and stamped parts made of plastic and metal, but also valuable precious metals such as gold and silver as well as laboratory samples. In this process, a part of the raw material often remains in the crushing machine. In order to recover the precious material, the plant had to...
