Hard floor cleaner machines are available in dozens on the Internet. However, it is not easy to find good quality machines. The large number of options actually confuses the prospective buyers.

There are many types of machines available for hard surface cleaning. Pressure wash equipment make excellent hard floor cleaner machines. Steamers are also top quality machines for hard surface cleaning.

Which is the ideal machine for steam cleaning the floors?

Right machine
Both pressure wash machines and steam cleaning machines are top hard floor cleaner equipment. However, when it comes to steam cleaning, there is no substitute for floor steamers. These machines eject high temperature output onto hard surfaces. The high temperature dissolves most kinds of buildup. The residue can then be easily removed.

There are many advantages of using vapor steamers for hard floor cleaning. The heated output sanitizes the surface in addition to cleaning the floor. The floor dries up very quickly after cleaning. So, vapor steamers are the best for steam cleaning hard floor surfaces.

This does not imply that simply buying a vapor steaming machine would suffice. The buyers have to ensure that they buy a machine that is durable, efficient, and easy to operate. The following tips would help to buy the best hard floor cleaner.

Performance test
The performance of dry vapor steam cleaner machines depends to a large extent on the output temperature of the machine. The higher is the output temperature, the more quickly and efficiently the machine melts the dirt buildup that is on the floor. Modern steam cleaner machines can provide temperatures up to 369°F.

Settling for hard floor cleaning equipment that generate lower temperatures would be a big compromise.

High output temperature also ensures proper sanitization of the surface. In addition, some of the steam hard surface cleaners are equipped with specialized anti-bacterial technology. Such machines ensure that the cleaned surfaces are free of most of the commonly occurring disease-causing bacteria and fungi.

Heating rods
Heating rods, which are important parts of boiler tanks, facilitate the heating of water in the tank. For conventional machines, the boiler tank has to be replaced when the heating rod gets damaged. Replacing boiler tanks is a costly affair.

Some of the sophisticated steam floor cleaner machines allow the replacement of only the heating rods. Unlike boiler tanks, replacing heating rods is cost effective.

Opting for small detail brushes is another option for ensuring the cost effectiveness of steam hard surface cleaners. These are cheaper than large detail brushes. It must be noted that detail brushes tend to wear out and have to be replaced periodically.

Continuous refill
This is another feature available with the modern floor steam cleaner machines. A conventional hard floor cleaner contains only one boiler tank. When the tank becomes empty, cleaning workers stop the cleaning process and refill the tank.

However, modern steam floor tile grout cleaning machines contain another tank in addition to the boiler tank. The water is first filled into this tank and then it is transferred to the boiler tank when the water level in the boiler recedes below a certain point. This feature enables continuous refill of the floor cleaning equipment.
