How to control the moisture in the operation of the drum granulator
Drum granulator is a granulator machine for fertilizer that can manufacture materials into specific shapes. The drum granulator is one of the key equipment in the compound fertilizer industry. It is suitable for cold and hot granulation and large-scale production of high, medium and low concentration compound fertilizers. The main working method is wet granulation of agglomerates. A certain amount of water or steam is used to make the basic fertilizer fully react after being humidified in the cylinder. Under a certain liquid phase condition, with the help of the rotation of the cylinder, the material particles are extruded. The pressure reunites into a ball.
The drum granulator of organic fertilizer equipment is filled with steam, gas ammonia or phosphoric acid or nitrogen solution, phosphorous ammonia slurry, heavy calcium slurry, and the compound fertilizer granulation process of chemical reaction and heating is completed in the barrel; or supplement Cold granulation process of compound fertilizer with small amount of water. The material to be granulated is passed through the rotating movement of the cylinder and cohesively formed into balls under a certain humidity and temperature to complete the ball making process.
In the granulation process of drum type fertilizer granulator machine, the powder material is mainly cladding type, so the material circulation volume needs to be larger, so that the material can be clumped into large particles during the cladding process. When the water content of the material is large, the amount of water injection it should be smaller, so that the fertilizer that makes the pellets will absorb less water. When granulating with this bonding method, if the water content of the material is small, it is necessary to add more water injection, because the materials are bonded to each other, the gap between the powder particles needs to be filled with water. Because the understanding of the granulation process has been deepened, some suitable monitoring instruments have been developed, so it is possible to simulate and computer automation control the granulation process.
