Influence of sector and size of business in motivating women entrepreneurship: a study in emerging market context

The study identifies the motivators of women entrepreneurship in an emerging country context, especially India. The purpose is to find out the drivers which stimulate women to take up entrepreneurial pursuit. The methodology which was undertaken includes empirical study, collection of data and analysing with SPSS, regression and correlations methods to find the drivers of women entrepreneurship. The study findings show that there are three primary motivators namely, profit maximisation, incentives in particular sector, and size and nature of business which motivates them to launch their business. The paper also discusses the managerial and research implications of such a study.
