Innovative Reclaimed Water Reuse to Provide Potable Water Supply Downstream Augmentation Project

0
The purpose of the Downstream Augmentation Project is to develop a water supply source for Tampa Bay Water without causing a net impact to flows from the Hillsborough River and Tampa Bypass Canal. The goal of this innovative project is to use reclaimed water from the City of Tampa to augment flows, in the river and canal, downstream of existing water supply intakes. This would allow potable withdrawal quantities to increase by an equal amount at the upstream intake locations while maintaining the net freshwater flows in the streams.
