Ion ScaleBuster Water Conditioning - Hospital - Case Study
In 2004, DTM (Direction des Travaux Maritimes under the French Ministry of Defense) started the construction of the new St. Anne's hospital in Toulon in the south of France. The project budget was 230 million Euros, of which 30 million for equipment. The hospital will have a capacity of 352 beds with 9 operating theatres and a total area of 60,000m2. Breaking ground was in July 2007.
WATER SYSTEM CHALLENGES
The operations manager (with SETEC engineering firm and CTA/ACS laboratories) wanted to treat the water used in the hospital in a safe way while maintaining operations cost as low as possible.
