Detailed design, works manufacture and site installation of Sodium Hypochlorite dosing systems for conversion of 6 sites from Chlorine gas to liquid Sodium Hypochlorite
WES Ltd were involved from early on in the project design stage in developing new Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Bisulphite dosing systems for Three Valleys Water.
There were health and safety implications to storing Chlorine and Sulphur Dioxide gases on site so to eliminate this risk we used chemical dosing units. The 6 sites varied in chemical storage capacity; from 200 litres to 10,000 litres in bunded tanks.
The dosing systems were installed and commissioned alongside the existing gas dosing equipment, which gave flexibility for reverting back to the existing system until total confidence in the control of the new system was gained. As each site’s new system was proven, the old gas equipment was removed and disposed of using strict procedures including confined spaced trained operatives and environmentally sound disposal techniques.
