Jewson Sustainable Development Review 2013

Jewson Sustainable Development Review 2013

The client

Jewson has over 600 branches around the UK and is a Saint-Gobain brand so it’s part of one of the largest construction businesses in the world - designing, manufacturing and distributing construction materials, and delivering innovative products and services with tomorrow in mind. Jewson is the UK's leading supplier of sustainable timber and building materials.

The challenge

To produce a sustainability development review in an accessible format aimed at UK independent builders. The goal was to re-enforce the Jewson commitment to sustainable development across the UK building industry.

What did IMS do?

IMS Consulting brainstormed, researched, wrote and designed a sustainability development review that highlighted what sustainable practices were being applied in different areas of the business.

The visual approach used, together with the language, style and inclination were specifically adapted to be more relevant, assessable and useful to the reader, giving them the option to apply it to their own day to day operations.

What was the outcome?

A 28 page infographic led sustainability development review, focused on reminding, re-enforcing and educating the UK building industry what actions and plans Jewson are making across the three sustainability pillars – people, planet and profit.  The output was also a robust, factual summary document that has created a basis for further internal and external sustainability communications.
