Keynetix are pleased to announce that an upgrade to KeyLAB has been released today that includes a number of new features requested by users to help them manage their geotechnical and concrete laboratory. The new build expands the functionality of the system to assist laboratory managers who are conducting concrete testing, working in a NATA accredited laboratory or with the ASTM standards and is available free of charge to all users who have an in-date maintenance agreement.
As well as the new features in this release, KeyLAB have produced a large number of free test definitions and input and report sheets for companies who are implementing KeyLAB within a laboratory, conducting tests to BS or ASTM standards. These worksheets and reports have been designed by Peter Keeton from Keynetix, who has over 30 years experience of managing large geotechnical laboratories.
“Over the last 9 months we have been working through both the BS and ASTM standards and producing input and report sheets that are production ready for our new users. Having these tests ready to download and import, enables our customers to be up and running with a new system even faster. This, combined with the ability to add your own tests and worksheets, or modify the standard ones has really helped laboratory managers maximise their investiment ” said Peter Keeton, who is currently helping a number of new customers and customers migrating from KeyLAB 1. “We are also seeing an increase in people implementing KeyLAB as part of their requirements to gain accreditation”
The new release also includes functionality specifically added to help our Australian customers to produce reports to the NATA accreditation standards. Neil Mercier, IT manager for Douglas Partners in Sydney Australia said “We’ve been running the new version of KeyLAB for a couple of weeks and everything is looking good. The spreadsheet import functionality is a great addition and has had a significant impact on the way we’re using KeyLAB. “
The concrete testing features added to this build allow users to easily schedule cube or cylinder crushing and open the test sheets for samples due for crushing today. It also has features to allow the laboratory manager to report concrete test completed within a set period of time.
“We are very pleased to supply our KeyLAB customers with this new set of features and worksheets” said Roger Chandler, Managing Director of Keynetix “The reasons to implement or migrate to KeyLAB 2 are now greater than ever and we look forward to helping our existing customers and new customers upgrading their Geotechnical and Construction testing laboratory management systems to this new exciting build.”
Work will soon start on the next release of KeyLAB and Keynetix already has a small number of requests that they were unable to add to this release, which will form part of the next release, however we would also like to hear from existing or new customers with any requests for the next release.
