Landfill leachate treatment

BOYDEL is pleased to confirm that we have produced great results running a heavily fuel and metals laced municipal landfill leachate through our LMR electrocoagulation reactor.

The attached picture essentially speaks for itself except that the clear BOYDEL treated effluent is free of fuel smell and that the sludge depicted on the right side of the picture has not been further dewatered and is about 60-70% wet.

Interestingly, when the raw leachate has either a cationic or an anionic polymer introduced there is absolutely no coagulation or flocculation effect. Only after the feedstock has been charged and ionized in the CFEC LMR reactor do the contaminants precipitate after the addition of a polymer.
