nanoparticle and its near–infrared absorbing properties

CsxWO3 nanoparticles with tuneable size in the range from 20 nm to about 1 μm have been successfully synthesised by a microwave–assisted solvothermal approach. The products were characterised by X–ray diffraction, TEM and EDS measurements. It has been found that the particle size was greatly changed depending on the reaction time. CsxWO3nanoparticles with a particle size of 20–50 nm showed the high transparency in the visible region, excellent shielding performance of the near–infrared light and limited reflectance of light.
