Landia (UK) Ltd. was awarded a contract to provide the pre-reaction chambers and sludge holding tanks at Wheal Jane Mine Water Treatment Plant, Cornwall with a total number of 7 submersible mixers.

Working conditions are very harsh on this plant where the mixers will be homogenizing sludges in the process of purifying a heavily contaminated industrial effluent. The mixers were supplied in acidproof stainless steel and with Landia’s unique sealing system adapted to the conditions on site.

A customized solution with regard to mixer effciency and low energy consumption added the technical merits to this project which worked in favor of the customers decision to chose Landia mixers.

The mixers have been in operation since the year 2000.
