Multifunctional environmental meter for 5 measuring parameters – sound, light, wind temperature and humidity
Environmental factors influence humans, animals and plants as well as buildings and their surroundings. The condition of stored goods, production processes, machines, apparatuses and buildings need to be protected. It is important to maintain a room climate that meets the needs of the users but at the same time does not cause any climate-related damage to the building.
PCE Instruments has added an innovative 5-in-1 environmental meter called PCE-EM 883 to its product range this year. The PCE-EM 883 combines a sound level meter, a lux meter, an anemometer, a thermometer and a humidity meter and is therefore an ideal all-rounder for professional and private use as well as for monitoring and collecting temperature and humidity values.
The sound level measurement function has a measuring range of 35 ... 130 dB and can be used, for example, on machines and systems. The measurement of light is particularly advantageous in the office because it requires optimum lighting conditions for employees to achieve high performance and perfect eyesight. Especially at school, simple measurement tasks are gaining popularity. The PCE-EM 883 environmental tester can be used to explain and illustrate environmental variables and their origins very well. Wind speed can be easily measured and recorded with the impeller anemometer. The measuring range of the wind speed sensor is 0.5 ... 30 m/s. For temperature and the humidity measurement, there is a sensor that can be used for measurements in food transport and storage or simply for private applications, for example where excessive air humidity can cause or have caused mold formation.
The multifunctional environmental meter for sound level measurement, lux measurement, wind speed, temperature and humidity measurement is an effective device for measuring and documenting the most important environmental parameters. Various school projects can be implemented with just one device.
