As the strongest type of commercial magnets, neodymium magnets are graded according to their maximum energy product. For example, Grade N35 indicates that the maximum energy product of a N35 magnet should be 35MGOe. The actual energy product of a N35 magnets could be range from 33-35 MGOe. The highest grade available is N52. The pull force of a N52 magnet is about 50% stronger than a N35 magnet with the same dimension. 

Coercivity of common neodymium magnets is relatively low; the low working temperature limits application of these magnets in various industries. So, neodymium magnets with higher coercive force and higher maximum working temperature are developed to meet these applications. These magnets are marked as NM (100°C/212°F), NH (120°C/248°F), NSH (150°C/302°F), NUH(180°C/356°F), NEH(200°C/392°F), NAH(230°C/446°F) and they are still graded with N system.
