Noise at Work: Easier Noise Assessment & Control
The Industrial Noise and Vibration Centre (INVC) Ltd has made its latest Digital Noise Assessment Template Available to all delegates who attend aFocus Health and Safety IOSH noise course.
INVC have been providing a highly specialised acoustic consultancy service to a broad range of industries since 1985. They also deliver Noise at Work Risk Assessment and Control training for Focus Health and Safety. The Digital Noise Assessment (DNA) template is INVC’s own basis for reporting by their Senior Acoustic Engineering Consultants.
The DNA template is cloud stored and can be downloaded FREE via an invitation link, which INVC supply to delegates after they have attendeda Focus Health and Safety Noise at Work Competency Training course. The delegates, who by then will be equipped with appropriate knowledge, may use the DNA template to complete their own reports. Many common sections are pre-written, to speed up the reporting process. A noise control audit section is included, as this is extremely important and explained in detail during the IOSH accredited noise courses. In addition, guidance notes issued with the DNA template explain how to insert supporting media such as images, audio and videos, if desired.
The most significant advantage of the DNA template however, isthat it features a comprehensive and professional structure that has beendesigned around the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, with guidance form the HSE.
The difference between satisfactory versus unsuitablenoise assessmentsis discussed during Focus Health and Safety’s Noise at Work Competency Training. A common issue is that noise assessments do not go so far as to set out practical and realistic plans for tackling noise at work risk reduction. However, armed with Focus Health and Safety’s noise training and INVC’s DNA template, health and safety professionals are best placed to ensure that a cost effective noise at work management plan is maintained.
Such a plan for is key to compliance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
