The National Oil Reserves Agency (NORA) was established in 1995 as a subsidiary of the Irish National Petroleum Corporation Limited (INPC).
NORA is the State Agency responsible for the holding of national strategic oil stocks at a level determined annually by the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
Mercury Engineering in conjunction with MICROPACK, supplied, installed and commissioned a start of the art flame detection system which utilised the latest detector from MICROPACK; the FDS300.
The detectors were installed covering the bunded areas, surrounding the storage tanks, along with the tank vents located on the roof of the tank.
