Curbside recycling programs cover 96% of the province. 72% of Nova Scotians will have curbside collection of all compostable organic material. The number of solid waste disposal sites have been reduced by 50%. Used tires, corrugated cardboard, newsprint, plastics are all reprocessed using innovative technologies right in the province.
