The HSE Directorate in Qatar is engaging a new frontier to have Health, Safety & Environment regulating under one roof. Currently there are respective ministries handling each of these subjects but this directorate will serve to be a focal point between these ministries and industry where the mandate is to assure HSE risks particularly in petroleum industry are regulated and controlled. It is with the goal to set regulations and enforcement that not only meet the HSE needs but the cultural needs of the State.
Therefore, Timothy Harding-Acting Manager HSE Technical & Supervision, Qatar Petroleum- will reveal the best ways of balancing health, safety & environmental risk regulating and enforcing at Fleming Gulf’s 6th Annual HSE Forum in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals. His presentation will highlight the work done to date and proposed way forward in regulating this complex and large industry in a way that adds value and safeguards the interests of the State of Qatar.
