Project description: Imperium needed a team of engineers to carry out a routine maintenance of their clients Health & Safety equipment. The engineers had to be trained and competent in taking the equipment apart and making repairs as required, with an understanding of health and safety whilst on petrol forecourts.

How you met the goals/needs/requirements: Civil Engineering Safety travel nationwide in their mobile workshop meeting clients on petrol forecourts to service their safety equipment whilst they work. Civil Engineering Safety undertook UKPIA training in order to comply with H&S whilst working on forecourts. The engineers were already trained and competent in the servicing/maintenance of confined space equipment.

Results/facts & figures: At the start of the contract 27% of the client’s 250+ assets were out of calibration date, within the first 6 weeks Civil Engineering Safety reduced this number down to 0%. Civil Engineering Safety also successfully passed an external Health & Safety Audit whilst carrying out work on the petrol forecourt.
