Petrox Bioremediation of Oil Pipeline Leak
Petrox bioremediation was used to treat unrefined oil that leaked from a pipeline in Texas. The oil migrated from the impacted soil into ground water and seeped into the surface water in a nearby river. After one application of Petrox, the oil concentrations in ground water at the source decreased from 600ppm to less than 100 ppm. Two more treatments reduced the petroleum concentration to less than 10 ppm and removed the surface water sheen. The Petrox for the project cost less than $6,000.
