Protecting the environment with help from CCOHS

Winnipeg, MB.: Environment Canada’s mandate is to preserve and enhance the quality of the natural environment, including water, air and soil quality. Its vision is to see a Canada where responsible decisions about the environment are made for the benefit of present and future generations.

Harvey Pukin is Technical Advisor for Health and Safety for the Meteorological Service of Canada, Atmospheric
Monitoring Division, and a long-time supporter of the Canadian Centre of Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS). He subscribes to several CCOHS products on the Web, which he has licensed for multiple users at Environment Canada.

While he provides technical advice across Canada, Harvey is primarily responsible for the Prairie and Northern
Region which includes Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Iqaluit, a region that encompasses more than 50% of Canada’s land mass.
