Recycling the Final Residues of the Paper Industry
Courtesy of
The pulp moulding industry converts pulps or recycled waste papers directly into fully finished products such as containers and packing materials, picnic tableware, and a wide variety of other profitably marketable products. A comprehensive and practical test program demonstrated conclusively that this versatile industry can utilize materials presently sent to landfill, incineration or composting: most paper mill sludges, including de-ink, and 'off grade' waste papers. Best results are obtained by sorting and blending appropriate proportions of these materials to make full use of the components of each one present in excess quantities, but commonly used in smaller proportions to benefit the moulded products
