Regulatory models for environmental impact assessments in Hungary
This paper describes the methodology and input requirements of environmental impact assessments regulated in Hungary by national standards for more than 10 years. The main characteristics are (a) various models simulate the impact of point, multi-source, line and area sources on local, urban and regional scales, (b) design transmission matrices are readily available for the greater part of the country, and (c) dispersion parameters are estimated for low sources by PGT curves, and for high sources based on the lapse rate of the lowest 300 m layer.
