Background
In a coastal Massachusetts community, Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. performed investigation and remediation activities to address the release of No. 2 heating oil to soil and groundwater at a residential property. Therelease occurred at a home heating system installed in the crawl space beneath the residence. Soil at the site consists of two to five feet of silty sand and gravel fill overlying dense, silty clay. Depth to groundwater is typically three feet below ground surface.
