Rule Changes for the Natural Gas Industry - Air Pollution Abatement Technology

Changes were published in the 2012 and affect oil and natural oil and natural gas processing; Federal Register on August 16, gas exploration & production; natural gas transmission.

Last year EPA finalzed regulations that affect the oil and natural gas industries in a variety of areas. These rules cover the following industry sectors: oil and natural gas exploration and production; oil and natural gas processing; and natural gas transmission.

These changes were published in the Federal Register on August 16, 2012 as changes to two existing rules and one brand new rule:

  • Changes to 40 CFR, Part 63, Subpart HH – National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants from Oil and Natural Gas Production Facilities
  • Changes to 40 CFR, Part 63, Subpart HH – National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants from Oil and Natural Gas Transmission and Storage Facilities
  • Newly promulgated 40 CFR, Part 60, Subpart OOOO – Standards of Performance for Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production, Transmission and Distribution
